As part of our creative internships, you’ll be expected to work confidently and professionally across a suite of digital platforms that power the production, organization, and promotion of our client projects. Each tool was chosen intentionally, not only for its industry relevance, but for how well it supports collaborative creative work, allows for flexibility, and streamlines the content creation process.
These platforms also reflect broader professional standards. A 2023 analysis by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the National Skills Coalition found that 92% of all job postings now require digital literacy, including familiarity with platforms for communication, content creation, and collaboration. Similarly, a 2025 report from Monday.com revealed that 82% of companies rely on project-management software to maintain operational efficiency—a skill you’ll build hands-on throughout this internship.
Why does this matter? Mastering these tools not only makes our workflow smoother, but it also builds your career readiness. A 2025 study by Quixy found that adopting modern project-management tools can boost productivity by up to 50% and reduce project costs by 20%. That kind of fluency is a competitive edge in this internship and beyond.
While training and guidance will be provided, success in this role requires a willingness to learn quickly, navigate new systems independently, and bring a proactive mindset to every task.
Here’s an overview of the tools and platforms you’ll be working with:
Adobe Creative Suite
Adobe Creative Suite plays a central role in bringing our content to life. Interns will use Adobe Audition to edit and refine podcast recordings—removing background noise, adjusting timing, and layering in music or voiceovers to create a polished listening experience. On the video side, Premiere Pro is our tool of choice for crafting short-form content, including everything from Instagram Reels and podcast trailers to cinematic clips that highlight our interviews, events, or campaigns.
These tools are utilized in professional production houses, agencies, and media companies worldwide. Learning how to use them now puts you a step ahead—both in this internship and in your creative career.
Why we use Adobe Creative Suite:
It’s the industry standard for audio and video editing, trusted by professionals across publishing, entertainment, and digital marketing.
It offers complete creative control, letting you fine-tune every second of sound or frame of footage for maximum impact.
It integrates seamlessly with other tools in our workflow, including Riverside for recording and Canva for design, making the entire post-production process more efficient.
You don’t need to come in as an expert—we don’t expect that. But if you’re curious, comfortable exploring new creative software, and willing to ask questions, you’ll pick it up quickly. We’ll provide tutorials and guidance to help you get started and support you as you grow your skills.
Canva Teams
Canva is our go-to platform for creating branded graphics used across social media, podcast episodes, and promotional campaigns. As an intern, you’ll use Canva to design visuals that align with our brand identity—everything from quote graphics and episode art to carousels, story slides, and marketing materials. You’ll often work from existing templates but will also have the freedom to create new assets as needed for specific campaigns or launches. Canva is best used on a laptop for precise layout and full creative control, although the mobile app is helpful for quick edits and uploads on the go.
We chose Canva because:
It’s an accessible and intuitive design tool, perfect for both beginners and experienced creatives.
It’s ideal for producing social-ready content quickly and professionally.
It enables real-time collaboration, making it easy to share designs, receive feedback, and revise within our workflow.
Riverside
Riverside is the platform we use for remote podcast recording and interview capture. Unlike standard video call software, Riverside records each participant’s audio and video locally on their device, resulting in crisp, studio-quality files that sync flawlessly during editing. As an intern, you may assist in setting up sessions, managing live recordings, or supporting post-production workflows. Due to its recording fidelity and interface layout, Riverside is best suited for use on a laptop, providing stability and complete control over session settings.
We chose Riverside because:
It offers high-quality, browser-based recording without requiring software downloads.
Local capture of audio and video minimizes lag and ensures professional-quality production.
It’s purpose-built for podcast and content creation, making it ideal for our media-driven workflow.
Planoly
Planoly is the platform we use to schedule and visually plan Instagram content. It enables us to plan posts in advance, maintain a consistent aesthetic, and ensure our content aligns with broader campaign objectives. As an intern, you’ll upload graphics, draft captions, schedule posts, and help manage the overall content calendar. Planoly is best used on both a laptop, ideal for layout planning and batch scheduling, and a phone, which makes it easy to handle quick edits or real-time adjustments.
We chose Planoly because:
It’s a visual-first platform built explicitly for Instagram, making it easy to plan cohesive, branded feeds.
It enables efficient batching and scheduling, helping us stay consistent across campaigns.
It’s mobile-friendly, allowing for last-minute changes or uploads when you’re away from your laptop.
Monday.com
Monday.com is the central hub for managing projects, assigning tasks, and keeping creative workflows on track. From editorial calendars to production timelines, this platform allows us to stay organized and aligned across multiple content streams. Interns are expected to use Monday to track their assignments, update progress, and communicate with the team as work evolves. Although a mobile version is available, it’s best used on a laptop to fully engage with the platform’s visual boards and collaborative features.
This tool wasn’t chosen at random—it reflects how professional creative teams operate. According to a 2025 report from Monday.com, 82% of companies now rely on project management platforms to coordinate internal processes and improve efficiency. Another study from Quixy found that teams using visual task-tracking software, such as Monday, experience up to 50% greater productivity and 20% cost savings in project execution. In other words, learning to manage your work inside Monday is both a practical skill and a professional advantage.
We chose Monday.com because:
It offers intuitive, visual workflow tracking, allowing everyone to see deadlines, progress, and priorities at a glance.
It serves as a centralized hub for organizing creative deliverables across multiple departments and timelines.
It reinforces accountability and transparency, helping you develop the habits of a thoughtful and reliable contributor.
Google Workspace
Google Workspace—primarily Docs, Drive, and Sheets—is the backbone of our day-to-day collaboration. Interns will use Google Docs to co-develop content, such as podcast scripts, social captions, and written assets; Sheets to manage calendars, checklists, and campaign planning; and Drive to organize, store, and submit final work. While the tools are mobile-accessible for quick reference or file retrieval, they’re best used on a laptop for writing, editing, and formatting in a distraction-free environment.
The reason we rely on Google Workspace is simple: it’s built for real-time collaboration. Files are live, feedback is tracked with complete transparency, and teammates can work simultaneously without encountering version conflicts. Research from Deloitte’s 2024 Future of Work study found that 83% of high-performing teams rely on cloud-based collaboration tools to support their workflows, especially in hybrid or asynchronous environments like ours. Google Workspace’s seamless integration and accessibility make it one of the most universally adopted tools in modern creative organizations.
We chose Google Workspace because:
It’s cloud-based and universally accessible, allowing team members to work from anywhere without barriers.
It supports real-time collaboration and editing, ideal for multi-author workflows and iterative content development.
It provides secure and reliable storage for all creative assets, from early drafts to final deliverables.
The Point?
You’re not expected to be an expert in all of these platforms on day one. What matters more than mastery is your mindset. These tools are learnable, but the ability to approach them with focus, adaptability, and curiosity is what will set you apart. In a creative internship, how you engage with the process is just as important as the outcome.
To succeed in this role, interns must bring:
A curiosity to learn
A willingness to experiment
A strong sense of attention to detail
These platforms form the infrastructure behind our storytelling. With time, you’ll become fluent in the digital language that drives creative work in any professional landscape.
